Meaningful Words

Have you ever had someone say something to you that completely turns around your day for the positive because you know you’ve just heard meaningful words that will stay with you for a while?

Here’s some examples:

1. “You know you’re an adult when you can be right without proving the other person wrong.”

2. “You are not required to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm”.

3. “Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but, when we look back everything is different…” – C.S Lewis

4. “We judge others by their actions and ourselves on our intentions.”

5.  “Education is expensive, but no education is more expensive”

6.  “Everyone you meet knows something you don’t.”

Do you have any meaningful words?

My New Blog!

I’ve created Petticoat Manor blog as a place to throw around new ideas. I created the parallel Etsy store to sell ideas that come to fruition. I will also post pictures of what has already been sold in case someone wants me to make it again.

So how did I come up with the name Petticoat Manor?  A petticoat is something that has been a part of fashion, design, and femininity for hundreds of years. It has transitioned from a garment meant to restrain or define as a lady to a statement garment worn as a choice to proudly declare uniqueness and sexuality. I chose to pair that with the word manor because manor stands for a vast location in which so much takes place at once. The possibilities are endless. A place where dainty flower rings and nerdy video game references can coexist harmoniously.  Thus, the birth of Petticoat Manor, where all creativity and things fun and beautiful are welcome.
